People Development and Training
Recruiting and onboarding talented individuals is just a small part of ICD’s people development program. Our people development program emphasizes the importance of planning for the future by providing a comprehensive succession planning process to establish and maintain bench strength, develop career paths, identify high potential employees and stresses the need to reduce turnover in all departments.
Benefits
Medical
ICD provides two different health insurance plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas which include two PPO deductible options. Both Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas medical plans include coverage for prescription drugs and are available to our employees’ families.
Telehealth
All medical plan members and their covered dependents have access to telehealth services through Virtual Visits powered by Teledoc. Teledoc services offer a cost-effective and convenient alternative to emergency room or office visits for non-emergency health care and behavioral health needs.
Vision
Vision coverage is provided through Vision Service Plan (VSP). VSP provides an extensive network of vision optometrists and ophthalmologists. Eye care is essential to a person’s health and well-being. Members receive benefits for many eye care services and products including eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
Dental
Dental coverage is an important component of ICD’s comprehensive benefits plan. Coverage is offered through Delta Dental. Participants have access to Delta’s PPO network.
FSA
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) allow you to set aside money pre-tax to pay for qualified healthcare and dependent care expenses. Paying for these expenses through a pre-tax spending account is like getting a discount on something you would have purchased at full price. You will be surprised at how quickly your savings add up.
Your Finances
401(k)
ICD’s 401(k) plan is one of the best ways you can save for retirement. Once enrolled, you save a percentage of your eligible pay, up to legal limits, toward your retirement. ICD matches 100% of every dollar you contribute, up to a defined percentage of your eligible compensation per pay period. The company match is 100% vested upon participation.
Life Insurance and AD&D
In addition to health benefits, ICD also offers eligible employees income protection benefits. These benefits are intended to provide financial assistance for you and your beneficiaries equal to two times your annual salary up to $750,000 in the event of disability, accident or death.
STD & LTD Insurance
Disability Insurance provides Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) protection in the event an injury or illness prevents an employee from working. ICD pays the cost for both lines of coverage. Both plans are administered by Unum. Pre-existing condition exclusions apply to STD and LTD coverage. Other additional income protection plans are available to purchase upon request.
Employee Assistance Program
All employees and their dependents are automatically enrolled in our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you. The program may help with a wide array of concerns, including finding elder care, relationship and family issues, general stress, personal loss, financial hardship and parenting.
Travel Assistance
At no cost to you, you have access to Unum’s travel assistance program. This program provides you with support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week when you are traveling 100 miles or more from home for business or pleasure – whether it’s a medical emergency or simply replacing travel documents.
Adoption Assistance Program
ICD recognizes that employees build their families in many ways. To support adoptive parents, ICD makes adoption benefits available to all full-time employees after 90 days of employment.
